What you would be doing
You serve in the elite underwater combat-diver unit: you take part in underwater sabotage, deep-water rescue, disarming sea mines and operating robots and other advanced underwater systems. The service demands high professionalism, cool nerves under pressure and strong teamwork.
What it takes to get in
Profile 82 and above with no disqualifying clauses, Dapar 50 and above. Preferences questionnaire ranking: 5 for combat, 5 for naval combat. Yom Ha-MEA scores: perseverance 2, teamwork 2, maturity and judgment 2, disciplined conduct 2. You must pass the naval-combat gibush, the Yaltam/fin-diver gibush, a medical exam at the Institute of Naval Medicine, and a security clearance.
Training
About a year of intensive physical and mental training: combat diving, sea and underwater navigation, underwater work, rescue, and operating dedicated vessels and advanced underwater systems.
