Shin Bet Soldier

You're placed with the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), a state body under the Prime Minister's Office responsible for defending against terrorism and espionage. You serve in a unit outside the regular chain of command, in one of a wide range of interesting, demanding roles that expose you to secretive, intelligence-related work in a computerized environment across the agency's units around the country. There are three tracks: intelligence (operations-room desk work, information gathering, security screening and data mining, some in shifts), professional (non-intelligence roles like HR, training, finance or IT, with growing specialization and reporting), and administrative (assisting a senior manager with reports, logistics and welfare planning).

Profile 25 and above. Yom Ha-MEA scores: management and organization 3 and above, information processing 3 and above. Selection includes an assessment day with a lecture, personal interviews and selection tests; those who pass go on to further screening, including a security-suitability process run by the Shin Bet.
