What you would be doing
You become the top technical authority for classified systems and networks, from the brigade level up to the General Staff. You install and maintain data networks, command-and-control systems, radios and digital equipment on vehicles, in headquarters and in labs, and you find and fix faults.
What it takes to get in
Profile 45 and above, passing a security clearance. No prior knowledge required.
Training
A course of about 12 weeks at the National School of Communications and Cyber Defense (Bahad 7) at the Ariel Sharon camp.
Where you serve
From brigade level up to the General Staff, in various communications units.
What it is worth afterwards
In-depth knowledge of networks, transmission equipment and digital systems — valued in the civilian job market.
