Unit 8200 Infrastructure Electronics

You maintain power and air-conditioning systems for some of intelligence's most sensitive sites. On the air-conditioning team you learn thermodynamics and cooling systems and draft engineering plans; on the control team you monitor server-room temperatures, UPS systems and large air-conditioning units in real time. Training happens through on-the-job shadowing alongside experienced engineers.

5 study units in one of: physics, mechatronics, robotics, mechanics, electronics or computers. Passing the track's selection process.

Air-conditioning team: learning cooling theory and practice as you go. Control team: about 4 months of shadowing plus a graduation project.

At a unit in central Israel, an open base. The work combines office time and trips to sites around the country; housing is available for those who live far away.
