What you would be doing
Most of the unit's operational activity is classified and unknown to the public. Egoz operates across every IDF combat sector, especially under Northern Command. You reach the unit through pre-military selection modeled on the reconnaissance units, then a gibush for the Golani brigade, after which the best candidates are placed in Egoz.
What it takes to get in
Profile 82 and above, pre-military selection modeled on the reconnaissance units, a Golani gibush and a unit selection. BMI: 18–32. Once accepted through the pre-military selection you cannot opt out.
Training
About a year and four months, covering small-unit tactics, camouflage, field skills, counter-terrorism, urban combat, ambushes and navigation.
