Based on this information, a provisional bagrut profile will be calculated and the feasibility of admission will be assessed. An applicant who is a 12th-grade student and completes all stages of the admissions process successfully may be admitted on the condition that they submit eligibility for a full bagrut certificate by the end of the first semester of the first year.
Special track

For adults and those who have studied before1
Previous academic background
- If you studied at a recognized academic institution and completed a full academic year (about 30 credit points) with an average of 85 or higher (or 75 or higher in the Faculty of Management), you may apply to study in a department parallel to the one you studied in. Your application will be considered based on your psychometric score or TIL test and the number of courses you completed.
These are minimum requirements: meeting them does not by itself guarantee admission.
The requirements are in the institution's words. Names and labels marked "our wording" are our own, written from the same page.

What you study
Bioinformatics deals with analyzing, organizing and understanding large quantities of data obtained from biological experiments. The field began to develop thanks to the availability of biological databases and large amounts of findings from clinical trials, as well as the development of modern analysis methods and computing capabilities. It combines and applies tools from computer science, mathematics, statistics and information theory to process large-scale biological data. These tools include models, algorithms and computer programs designed to handle large databases and highly complex problems.
