What you study

Trains engineers to conduct research, design, develop, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems and energy systems of all kinds: vehicle and aviation systems, manufacturing systems, control systems, automation and robotics, biomechanical systems, and medical devices.

Mechanical Engineering deals with the processes of designing, researching, developing, manufacturing, and maintaining mechanical systems, from household appliances and equipment to medical devices, control and guidance systems, air-conditioning systems, automated production machines and systems, vehicles, vessels, and aircraft. The study program includes courses in mathematics, chemistry, physics, programming, and more. In most cases, students can choose a specialization during their studies, such as energy, robotics, control and mechatronics, materials mechanics, and microsystems.
