What you would be doing
You command recruits from specific populations — new immigrants, minority-community soldiers, soldiers on the autism spectrum, and soldiers with complex personal or economic backgrounds — through their basic training at Education Corps bases. The goal is to prepare soldiers who've been flagged as needing extra support for real, meaningful military service, laying the groundwork for their life after discharge. You stay with them from enlistment through the end of tironut, until they're sent out to their units.
What it takes to get in
Profile 72 and above, Dapar 40 and above. You'll need resilience under complex situations, maturity, command and leadership ability, and strong interpersonal skills. Yom Ha-MEA (women only): Instruction 3+, Interpersonal skills 3+, Command 3+, Teamwork 3+.
Training
Tironut 02 plus a 9-week course at the Education Corps' Bahad, in the Training City in the Negev.
