What you would be doing
You command IDF soldiers serving out sentences at detention facilities around the country, including the Neve Tzedek military prison at Beit Lid — from the moment they're brought in until their release. You're a central figure in their time there: education, discipline, individual care, personal support, and keeping their motivation up to return to normal service. You get exposure to classified work and can grow into prison intelligence, training-course command, career service, or the officer track. In emergencies, these instructors also help with policing and holding enemy detainees at designated sites.
What it takes to get in
Profile 45 and above, Dapar 50 and above. Selection chances for qualified candidates: high. Yom Ha-MEA (women only): Instruction 2+, Teamwork 3+, Interpersonal skills 3+, Command 3+, Structure and discipline 3+, Attention 3+.
Training
Military Police tironut, followed by certification as a military policeman (a command course).
