Admission requirements

You can be admitted through one of these tracks:

By bagrut, no psychometric exam

Admission without a psychometric exam based on a bagrut certificate

English level placement: Pre-Basic level or higher based on the Amirnet exam or the English section of the psychometric exam
Hebrew level placement: a grade of 90 or higher on the Yaelnet exam or the Hebrew placement test at the University of Haifa (admission on a conditional basis in the first year of studies until a grade of 120 is achieved), or successful completion of an academic Hebrew course as part of the university mechina
Full bagrut certificate
Screening tests consisting of 2 stages: 19.8.26 admissions interview and portfolio presentation 26.8.26 practical exam on ZOOM
*Applicants who meet the criteria will be invited to an interview by the department

Visual communication (formerly graphic design) involves visual design and communicating messages through different media across a wide range of practices: print, the internet, branding and advertising, illustration, comics, typeface design, and more. The program provides knowledge for creating a visual language, along with tools for expressing messages and ideas through design. It combines theoretical courses with practical, applied knowledge. Courses in the degree include art and design history, color fundamentals, composition, design thinking, visualization, drawing, image creation, illustration, typography, packaging design, video photography, animation and computer software, UX/UI, design and illustration, print in the modern era, letter design, websites and digital branding, apps and digital products, game design, and more.
