Admission requirements

For adults and those who have studied before1

The selection process for practical engineer graduates in the Visual Communication track

Stage 1: personal interview + portfolio (and, if necessary, a take-home assignment and a practical exam)
Applicants who pass the first stage will be invited to the second stage
Admitted students will receive an exemption of up to 53 academic credit points and will begin their studies in the second year.

These are minimum requirements: meeting them does not by itself guarantee admission.

Stage 1: Activity day at the Exhibition Gardens
A portfolio must be prepared by the date of Stage 1
Applicants to a bachelor's degree program must demonstrate proficiency in Hebrew.

What you study

Visual communication (formerly graphic design) involves visual design and communicating messages through different media across a wide range of practices: print, the internet, branding and advertising, illustration, comics, typeface design, and more. The program provides knowledge for creating a visual language, along with tools for expressing messages and ideas through design. It combines theoretical courses with practical, applied knowledge. Courses in the degree include art and design history, color fundamentals, composition, design thinking, visualization, drawing, image creation, illustration, typography, packaging design, video photography, animation and computer software, UX/UI, design and illustration, print in the modern era, letter design, websites and digital branding, apps and digital products, game design, and more.
