What you would be doing
You're a key figure in the military prison system under the Military Police. You're responsible for IDF prisoners from the moment they leave the detention facility for any reason — a hearing at the military court, medical treatment, transfer between facilities — and during the escort you're both their support and the one keeping order and security. It's sensitive work with a distinct population, and it comes with real command challenges: you need strong emotional intelligence, sharpness, professionalism and assertiveness.
What it takes to get in
Profile 64 and above; placement happens after enlisting into the Military Police corrections system (Pashatz). Yom Ha-MEA scores (women only): guidance 2 and above, teamwork 3 and above, human relations 3 and above, command 3 and above.
Training
About six weeks of basic training at Bahad 13, then a roughly five-week professional course. Afterward, soldiers report to the escort unit at Beit Lid camp and begin their regular service.
