Community Mashak

You represent the IDF in the community you're assigned to — local authorities across the country — and help teenagers get the most out of the selection, placement and enlistment process. You're the professional point of contact for draft candidates and the community around them on everything to do with getting ready for service. You accompany teens through their schools and other formal and informal frameworks throughout their preparation for the army, run 'IDF days' for local authorities, and lead Dapar and Yom Ha-MEA prep sessions with them. You also work with civilians in the area, brief draft candidates ahead of Tzav Rishon, guide them one-on-one, give talks on the enlistment process, and meet with at-risk youth.

Profile 45 and above.

Basic training 02; you may take a Gal-coordinator course or general IDF basic training. Every mashak also completes about a week of professional training.

You can be posted to any of the recruitment offices around the country.
