What you would be doing
You prepare future recruits for the IDF before they even enlist, through the Gadna program. Your main job is commanding a squad of trainees during Gadna week — teaching weapons handling, ranges, fieldcraft, navigation, marches, battle heritage, and how the IDF works, on top of talks about values and motivation to serve. There are three tracks inside this role: Youth Commander at a Gadna base, an Education Coordinator working with civilian schools, and a National Task Force Commander with the Nahal youth movement.
What it takes to get in
Profile 64 and above, Dapar 50 and above. Yom Ha-MEA (women only): Instruction 3+, Interpersonal skills 2+, Command 3+, Teamwork 3+, Maturity 3+, Diligence and persistence 3+.
Training
Tironut 02 plus a 9-week course.
Where you serve
The Sde Boker or Tzalmon Gadna base, or the Air Force Gadna.
