What you would be doing
You serve in one of several arrays run by the Israeli Police — patrolling by vehicle, responding to civil-distress calls, and fighting crime. If you're a good fit, you may get the chance to work in a forensics lab, gathering and analyzing evidence from crime scenes, or in the intelligence array, collecting criminal information from a range of sources. You can also staff the 100 emergency call center, keeping order and directing distress calls to forces in the field.
What it takes to get in
Men — profile up to 64; women — profile 45 and above. Yom Ha-MEA scores, women only: human relations 3 and above, management and organization 2 and above, command 3 and above.
Training
Basic training 02 and 4 months of advanced training, including a basic police course. Candidates assigned to the administrative array get an additional 3 weeks plus training tailored to their role. Candidates placed in the 100 call center get a course of about 2 months.
