What you study

From its inception, it has been based on the principles of service-learning, independent learning, and integration across the fields of basic sciences, behavioral sciences, public health, and clinical medicine. From the beginning of the first year, students meet a wide range of patients and acquire basic clinical skills while applying the scientific material they have learned.

The first 3 years of medical studies, at the end of which students receive a bachelor's degree, include preclinical studies and take place mostly at the medical school. The next stage is based on clinical studies, both theoretical and practical, in hospitals and other health services. The bachelor's degree studies include foundational courses in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics and Computer Science, as well as introductory courses in the life and medical sciences: Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Immunology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, and more.
