Admission requirements
Intake for the 2026/27 academic year
Regular track
Admission based on sekhem (sekhem for invitation to MOR, MOR score, weighted MOR score for admission)(our wording)
- Medical Sciences – Medicine track 92.000
- Applicants who received a MOR score below 190 will be rejected.
- Based on the weighted MOR score for medicine, which is based on 70% MOR test score and 30% sekhem score, and subject to available places.
- Weighted MOR score for admission: 205
- Applicants with a full or partial academic background (at least 3 semesters) may not apply on the basis of a sekhem unless they receive special approval to do so under the admission rules for applicants with an academic background.
- For medical tracksThe estimated sekhem is the threshold for being invited to the MOR exam. This threshold depends on the number of places allocated and the final number of applicants, so it is published only after registration closes and all invitations have been sent.

The requirements are in the institution's words. Names and labels marked "our wording" are our own, written from the same page.
For every track
- To apply, applicants must have a grade of 70 in 5 units of mathematics in the bagrut; anyone who does not meet this requirement in the bagrut certificate must take the mathematics level placement test and receive a grade of at least 70.
- To apply to the medicine tracks, applicants who do not meet the published exemption requirements must have a score of 121 on the Hebrew knowledge test.
- To apply to the medicine tracks, applicants must have a score of 120 or higher in the English section of the psychometric exam or on the AMIR exam, or a score of 600 on the SAT, or 26 on the ACT.
- Only Israeli citizens and permanent residents may apply to the medical tracks.
- Academic reserve candidates may not apply to the Technion's medical tracks.
- Sekhem calculation for graduates of the Technion mechinaTechnion mechina grades do not replace bagrut grades in admission decisions for the medical tracks. For mechina students, a combined average is calculated from 50% of the mechina average and 50% of the bagrut average. This average is used to calculate the sekhem together with the general multi-domain score on the psychometric exam. Mechina graduates cannot apply to these tracks in the year they are studying in the mechina.
- The admission requirements shown on this page are estimates and may be updated from time to time. In all cases, the binding admission requirements are those published on the day the applicant completes all admission requirements.
- For the Medicine tracks: the estimated sekhem is the threshold for receiving an invitation to the MOR test. This threshold depends on the number of places allocated and the final number of applicants, so it is published only after registration closes and all invitations have been sent.
