Exceptional admission

The college will allow students who do not meet the admission requirements to be admitted to each program of study, up to a limit of 10%, on the basis of special personal circumstances that justify exceptional admission or the need to make higher education accessible to unique populations.

Applicant over the age of 30 who does not have a bagrut certificate

An applicant over the age of 30 who does not have a bagrut certificate is required to complete the college’s mechina studies, totaling 6 weekly hours.
Psychometric exam / quality bagrut certificate with a high average.

For every track

A grade of at least 70 in English on the bagrut certificate, at the 5-unit level (the application of a student who studied English at the 4-unit level only will be reviewed through an individual admissions process)
The minimum score for the English component of the psychometric exam is at least 100, or a score of at least 200 on the Amir exam
Personal interview in English
Regular students who took the bagrut abroad, or students in a conversion program who studied for a degree abroad must take the Yael exam (Hebrew proficiency test).The minimum score for admission is 110
Eligibility for a bagrut certificate or a certificate of completion of a recognized pre-academic mechina.

What you study

Hebrew language teaching certificate studies provide comprehensive academic knowledge of the language throughout its periods and styles, and introduce students to issues, research methods, and ways of understanding the structure of the language. The curriculum combines a comparative approach with the study of related Semitic languages to examine the development of Hebrew over the years and introduce students to new linguistic research methods. During their studies, students gain in-depth knowledge of linguistics, as well as tools for understanding and analyzing the rules that govern Hebrew grammar.
