Admission requirements
These requirements are incomplete — the full list is on the institution's site
You can be admitted through one of these tracks:
Regular track
Combined score (psychometric score + bagrut)
- The combined score is the average of the weighted bagrut scores and the psychometric score
Through a preparatory program
Admission requirements for graduates of pre-academic mechina programs
- An admission average of at least 85 upon completing studies at a pre-academic mechina.
Another track
Significant contribution to the community
- Applicants who have made a significant contribution to society may be admitted on this basis as an alternative to a bagrut average of 85 or higher.
- The social contribution may be demonstrated in one or more of the following areas: active and ongoing participation in a youth movement; completing a year of service through a recognized framework. Working in the education field for at least 2 years, such as mentoring, teaching, or community educational activities.
- Admission based on this criterion is possible after completing the required selection procedures and demonstrating suitability for the requested study program.
Special track
Up to 10% exceptional admissions
- The college will allow the admission of up to 10% exceptional applicants who do not meet the required admission requirements but have other special personal qualifications, such as extensive experience in mentoring and/or volunteering in education, outstanding achievements supported by recommendation letters, relevant higher education in non-academic frameworks, and an impressive record of overcoming a disadvantaged socioeconomic and cultural background.
- Every applicant with exceptional admission qualifications will have an admission interview and will be admitted on the condition that they meet the requirements at the end of the first year.
For adults and those who have studied before1
Practical-engineer diploma holders
- Holders of a practical engineer diploma issued by the Ministry of Education or the Ministry of Economy and Industry (MAHAT) will be considered to have a certificate equivalent to a bagrut certificate for the purpose of registering for academic studies. What you study
Hebrew language teaching certificate studies provide comprehensive academic knowledge of the language throughout its periods and styles, and introduce students to issues, research methods, and ways of understanding the structure of the language. The curriculum combines a comparative approach with the study of related Semitic languages to examine the development of Hebrew over the years and introduce students to new linguistic research methods. During their studies, students gain in-depth knowledge of linguistics, as well as tools for understanding and analyzing the rules that govern Hebrew grammar.
