By bagrut, no psychometric exam

Admission route without a psychometric exam (optimal bagrut average)(our wording)

  • Bagrut average (optimal, including bonus points) – 95
  • Mathematics – a grade of 85 at 4 units or 75 at 5 units; alternatively, a grade of 85 in the College’s pre-engineering mechina
  • Physics – a grade of 70 at 5 units; alternatively, a grade of 70 in the College’s pre-engineering mechina
  • English – a grade of 80 at 4 units or 75 at 5 units
  • An additional advanced-level subject beyond mathematics, physics and English – grade 75

  • To calculate the best possible bagrut average, add 12.5 points to a science subject at the 4-unit level and 25 points to a science subject at the 5-unit level.

These are minimum requirements: meeting them does not by itself guarantee admission.

The requirements are in the institution's words. Names and labels marked "our wording" are our own, written from the same page.

What you study

Electrical Engineering deals with electricity as a means of transmitting energy, as opposed to Electronics Engineering, which deals with using electricity to transmit information. In most cases, students must choose one or more specializations during their studies, such as electro-optics, communications, nanoelectronics, bioengineering, signal processing, computers, control, electronic devices, energy and power systems, bioelectronics, and more. Courses in the degree include theoretical courses in core subjects such as mathematics, physics, programming, and electronics, as well as theoretical and practical laboratory courses, according to the areas of specialization. The studies also include a final project in the last year.
